We are looking for an experienced Emergency Nurse who is interested in developing their skills in the role of Junior Sister / Charge Nurse at Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen.

We are looking for an experienced Emergency Nurse who is interested in developing their skills in the role of Junior Sister / Charge Nurse at Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen.

The role combines clinical practice (care-coordination), leadership and management and supervision of the Emergency Department nursing team. Not only will you be a role model to the staff, you will be designing and preparing the team for the challenges of the future.

The role is designed for an experienced Emergency Nurse. It combines clinical practice with leadership and management of the Emergency Department nursing team. Not only will you be setting the example and showing others how it should be done today, you will be designing and preparing the team for the challenges of tomorrow. It’s a rare combination and we need someone special to do it.

To apply you will need substantial clinical experience within emergency nursing at Band 5 or above with evidence of clinical competence in triage, critical care assessment, supervisory management and experience of teaching and assessing.

Main duties of the job

Applicants should have recent Emergency Nursing experience and able to demonstrate evidence of care coordination, clinical competence in triage, critical care assessment and supervisory management.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;
English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.
