Deputy Manager / Senior Occupational Health Adviser

Salary: £55,944–£59,664

Hybrid Carmarthen

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager Senior Occupational Health Adviser to provide clinical leadership, operational support and line management within a busy Occupational Health service.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse looking to develop their leadership skills while continuing to deliver a high-quality clinical service.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and line management to Occupational Health Advisers and Screening Nurses.

* Deputise for the Occupational Health Manager when required, ensuring continuity of service.

* Manage a clinical caseload, undertaking complex occupational health assessments and fitness-for-work consultations.

* Produce high-quality management reports, rehabilitation plans and recommendations for workplace adjustments.

* Oversee referral triage and support effective case management across the team.

* Develop and review Occupational Health policies, procedures and clinical standards.

* Monitor clinical quality through audit and governance activities.

* Deliver health promotion initiatives, vaccination programmes and health surveillance services.

* Support staff development through supervision, appraisal, mentoring and continuing professional development.

* Work collaboratively with managers, HR and other stakeholders to promote employee health, wellbeing and attendance.

Essential Requirements

* Registered Nurse (NMC Parts 1 and
3).

* Specialist qualification in Occupational Health.

* Significant post-registration Occupational Health experience.

* Experience managing complex sickness absence cases and producing management reports.

* Knowledge of Occupational Health legislation, including the Equality Act, Health and Safety legislation and GDPR.

* Strong clinical judgement, communication and leadership skills.

* Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.

* Evidence of continuing professional development.

This role would suit an experienced Occupational Health professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality clinical services, leading teams, supporting employee wellbeing and driving continuous service improvement
