Retail Assistant

Position:
Retail Store Assistant (Keyholder) – £12.71 per hour plus benefits.

Carmarthen.

6 hours – Sundays only.

Shop Manager. Department:
Trading.

We are looking for a motivated retail assistant to join our trading team. You will act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK and take responsibility for the shop on a Sunday.

• Oversee the running of the shop on Sundays, including keyholder duties (training provided).
• Support a talented and diverse team of volunteers.
• Assist the wider shop team in achieving sales and fundraising targets.
• Review and process donated goods and new stock.
• Develop creative ideas to generate additional income, in partnership with the Shop Manager.
• Use customer‑service skills to ensure customers and supporters feel welcome and appreciated.
• Maintain shop standards regarding safeguarding, compliance and health and safety.

• Working knowledge of what makes great customer service.
• Experience working in a lively and vibrant environment.
• Adaptability in changing situations and ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Commercial awareness.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Ideally experience in retail or an understanding of retail and fashion.
