Activity Aide – Waiver Respite Program – On Call
Location: Carmel, NY
Hours: Monday – Friday, 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. (flexible based on program needs)
Starting Salary: $18.58 – $20.44 per hour
Looking for a fun-loving, energetic adult to support young, active adults with IDD in a site-based respite program in Carmel, NY. This position will help individuals enjoy community events, make new friends, strengthen social skills, and experience new activities and hobbies. This is a highly rewarding role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Support young adults with IDD during respite program activities.
- Facilitate participation in community events and new hobbies.
- Encourage social skill development and friendship building.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of experience working with developmentally disabled individuals (preferred).
