Overview
The Arc Mid-Hudson has a management opportunity, supporting people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, at the Day Habilitation Programs within Putnam County.
ResponsibilitiesThe Day Habilitation Program Manager is responsible for providing supervision and guidance to Activity Coordinators and Direct Support Staff in the Day Habilitation programs to ensure community awareness/integration, independence, individualism and productivity of all people attending a Day Habilitation program. Day Services are available to all adults during daytime hours, giving you the opportunity to join with people who are like-minded and can appreciate shared experiences.
Along with learning, developing, and building on skills. Responsibilities include supervising staff and ensuring that plans of care are followed for the people we support. There are also trips to the library, museums and Putnam County’s parks and trails.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a HS Diploma plus three years’ experience, although an Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field is highly desired. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and supervisory experience. Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred. An acceptable NYS driver's license is required.
Hours and SalaryHOURS:
40 Hours weekly - Monday thru Friday, 8a-4p
STARTING SALARY: $23.42 to $27.29 per hour, based on relevant experience and education
Minimum Requirements- AA or equivalent OR High School Diploma/GED plus three years’ experience
- Supervisory experience
- Experience working with people with disabilities
- Prior experience providing day services preferred
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Acceptable NYS Driver’s license
