LOCATION: Any Indiana office - Hybrid 1 day a week
WHAT YOU’LL DO- Processes applications, policies, endorsements, binders, certificates, audit requests, agency billing, and other items related to servicing clients from all regions including Midwest, Northeast, and West
- Assists clients with policy coverages and related questions; reviews policy coverages for potential gaps and other needs of the policyholder
- Works with Producers to assist clients with the service needs mentioned above
- Renews and retains assigned accounts; conducts renewal processes with Producers to provide the best options for clients; provides clients with additional coverage options
- Maintains client files in appropriate systems and provides standard office/administrative support
- Maintain carrier relationships and follow changes with contracted carriers; stay up-to-date with industry trends
- Other duties as assigned
- Establishes and maintains high levels of trust with clients through introductions, periodic contacts, and prompt responses to questions and issues
- Processes all applications, policies, endorsements, mail, binders, schedules, certificates, audits, and other items related to servicing client policies in a timely and accurate manner
- Informs and educates clients about policy coverage, changes, exclusions, and insurance needs; assists clients in making coverage changes
- Meets quality and timeliness standards in the Agency Management System and documents all activity
- Other duties as assigned
- Collaborates with Placement Department and Producers to properly transition new business written
- For renewal marketing: submits applications with proper documentation and follows up to ensure timely quotes and policies
- Enters policy information into carrier websites for quote options if needed
- Negotiate premiums and commissions with underwriters and wholesalers
- Present quote options to the client and/or Producer
- Bind and issue policies in carrier systems or order policies from underwriters
- Other duties may be assigned
- Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of responsibilities
- Maintain cordial and effective relations with clients, co-workers, carriers, wholesalers, vendors, and other contacts
- Maintain up-to-date client records, tasks, and required documentation
- Communicate effectively and collaborate to achieve business goals
- Stay informed on industry trends and product developments to improve knowledge and performance
- Resolve problems or enhance service in a timely manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks
- Ensure expert knowledge is maintained
- Other duties may be assigned
- Full knowledge of Property/Casualty lines of coverage and services
- Ability to analyze situations and draw solid conclusions
- Experience with Agency Management Systems, rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations
- Advanced knowledge of navigating the Internet and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to work effectively with or without supervision
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
- Two or more years of experience in a mid-size brokerage or carrier
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills for handling sensitive and confidential situations; teamwork and diplomacy
- Indiana Property & Casualty License
- Valid Driver License
- Ability to travel to clients; some air travel may be required
The base pay offered will be determined based on experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
