Material Damage Claims Analyst

The Material Damage Analyst will engage in verbal and written communication with insurance companies, adjusters, and management as needed. The role will ensure state-specific requirements are met, internal guidelines followed, manage rebuttals, exotic vehicle estimates, and estimate items without a database. This analyst will design, organize, and conduct training for new employees and continuing education for adjusters, specialists, MDS, and investigators, staying current on industry trends and best practices.

They will also handle MDS QA for technical accuracy.

Rebuttal Requests and Specialty Estimates – 50%

• Directly handle all rebuttal assignments and certain claims involving complex damages.
• Ensure rebuttal claims comply with statutory and regulatory requirements in all relevant jurisdictions.
• Formulate a resolution strategy to achieve optimal total outcome.
• Work within authority limits on highly technical and coordinated assignments.
• Analyze vehicle damage to determine cause.
• Handle special projects related to specialty areas as needed.
• Analyze and communicate changes in law and regulation for consistent quality estimate handling.

Training and Technical Quality Assurance – 25%

• Train new adjusters and investigators on damage assessment, procedures, and practices.
• Train new MDS hires on estimate policies, company procedures, and proper documentation.
• Create innovative, user‑focused training materials, reference guides, and on‑demand learning tools.
• Provide regular follow‑up during the 90‑day ramp‑up period, mentoring and coaching as needed.
• Conduct refresher/enhancement training to further develop existing knowledge and skills.
• Coordinate training and QA standards to ensure timely deliverables exceeding team and operational needs.
• Assess training effectiveness, seek feedback from learners and managers, and partner with other org parts to elevate opportunities.
• Conduct new‑hire evaluations, identify improvement areas, and collaborate with managers to determine training needs.
• Measure training success by how quickly new hires transition off the on‑ramp status regarding estimates and documentation.

Estimates – 25%

• Produce estimates for exotic vehicles and all vehicles without a database in CCC.
• Create special consideration estimates based on business needs.
• Handle older files or files held behind with the MDS.
• Communicate professionally in written and oral format with insurance carriers and adjusters.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 13–15 years of work‑related experience.
• Experience with CCC One estimating.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Considerable knowledge and experience with Pega and iVOS.
