, Prairie View is dedicated to facilities that feel like a second home for our members and guests. We are seeking a visionary, hands‑on Golf Course Superintendent to maintain our reputation as one of the premier golf experiences in the Midwest.

The Role

The Golf Course Superintendent is a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the General Manager. You will be responsible for the entire grounds operation, including the 18-hole course, practice facilities, and surrounding clubhouse landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Agronomic Excellence: Design and implement a comprehensive turf management program (mowing, fertilization, irrigation, and integrated pest management) tailored to Indiana’s transition-zone climate.
  • Capital Projects: Oversee upcoming course master plan improvements, including renovations and drainage enhancements.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage an annual maintenance budget exceeding $1M; oversee labor costs and equipment life-cycle planning.
  • Leadership: Recruit, train, and inspire a diverse crew of 15–20 seasonal and full-time staff, fostering a culture of pride and attention to detail.
  • Water Management: Master the operation of the complex irrigation system to ensure firm, fast, and healthy playing surfaces while adhering to local water conservation standards.
Candidate Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Superintendent or Lead Assistant at a high-end facility.
  • Certifications: Must possess (or obtain within 60 days) an Indiana Category 3B Ornamental and Turf Pest Control License. GCSAA Certification (CGCS) is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of Pennlinks bentgrass greens, management and the specific challenges of Indiana humidity and soil types.
  • Communication: Ability to provide regular updates to management and ownership regarding course conditions and maintenance schedules.
  • Salary: $100,000 – $110,000 (commensurate with experience).
  • Bonus: Performance-based annual bonus structure.
