Overview
Join Our Team as an RN OR Specialty Coordinator for the Urology Service line including robotics cases at Indiana University Health North!
Indiana University Health North is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN OR Specialty Coordinator to lead our Urology surgery service line. This critical position focuses on delivering high-quality care to our OR patient population. This role works 4, 10-hour day shifts during weekdays.

- Coordinate the delivery of care for high-acuity patients across the service line, utilizing advanced clinical knowledge and assessment skills.
- Serve as the clinical expert and strong leader within the unit, actively participating in management and system leadership activities to enhance service delivery.
- Scrub and/or circulate in Urology surgeries including robotic cases surgeries, demonstrating expertise and ensuring patient safety.
- Develop a core curriculum for the service line in conjunction with the clinical educator and system education teams, overseeing new staff orientation and ongoing education for all team members.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and ensure they meet the needs of the service line.
- Act as a role model and resource for staff, embodying the mission and vision of Indiana University Health in all aspects of patient care and unit operations.
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
- Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
- OR (Operating Room) experience is strongly preferred.
