We have an immediate opening for a Full‑time Registered Nurse or LPN.
ScopeUnder general supervision, provides professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to provide assessment and therapeutic management of patient/family needs. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess health status by interviewing patient regarding current status and medical history.
- Collect and record nursing assessment and interventions.
- Review and report results of health status assessment and physical examination, pertinent laboratory data, radiographic data, and psychosocial assessment of assigned patients to the provider.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Prepare and administer therapies under direction and supervision of a physician.
- Ensure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies where applicable.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
- Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
- Maintain work environment; restock the supply area as needed.
- Maintain all disinfection protocols.
- Maintain equipment according to quality control standards.
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
- Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart.
- Ensure efficient and appropriate patient flow in and out of exam rooms.
- Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments for patients.
- Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient chart.
- Facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team, coordinating services related to patient care.
- Assist patients in locating community resources.
- Provide nursing coverage for satellite offices as needed.
- Serve as mentor/preceptor and provide day‑to‑day guidance to less experienced nurses.
- Other duties as assigned and participate in professional development activities, maintaining current knowledge of oncology nursing through ongoing education.
- Graduate from an accredited professional nursing education program.
- RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
- LPN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must maintain continuing education requirements.
- Open to new graduates.

Physical requirements:
Requires full range of body motion, handling and lifting of patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing and walking for extended periods, occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs, corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
