Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a current IN or compact RN license and AHA BLS and NRP certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in an 8-bed Labor & Delivery unit with 3 triage rooms, 2 OR suites, and 4 antepartum (ATP) rooms
- Circulate C-sections as part of L&D responsibilities
- Full time, 36 hours per week, 7:00pm-7:30am night shifts
- Rotating holidays and every third weekend are required
- 13-week contract assignment
- Provide direct L&D nursing care including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions
- Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary team
- Responsible for discharge planning coordination
- All travelers must have a US Social Security Number and a US home address
- Radius rule applies for local candidates and may affect compensation
- No COVID vaccination required as of July 1, 2023
- Scrubs or dress code details not specified, check prior to assignment
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Active IN or compact RN license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Nursys verification and primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Skill in circulating C-sections and fetal monitoring
