Clearance: DV (Developed Vetting) – must be current and transferable

Day rate: market rate (Inside IR35 or Outside IR35)

Sector: Defence / Aerospace

Engagement: Contract

We are seeking an experienced DV-cleared Service Manager to support the delivery and operation of secure, mission-critical services within a high-assurance defence and aerospace environment. This role is central to ensuring effective service models, governance, and performance across complex programmes.

Role Overview

Service & Support Management

  • Ensure robust service and support models are in place to support project and operational teams
  • Support the development and implementation of enterprise service management models aligned to programme needs
  • Act as a key interface between delivery, operations, and security stakeholders

Performance, Metrics & Governance

  • Define, track, and report on KPIs and SLAs to ensure service performance meets agreed targets
  • Support change, service performance, and management reporting
  • Identify service improvement opportunities and contribute to continual service improvement activities

Audit, Compliance & Assurance

  • Support audit and compliance activities in line with security and governance requirements
  • Provide service management input into assurance reviews and governance forums

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

  • Document service management activities to support operational continuity
  • Package and manage service artefacts and deliverables for governance and assurance purposes
  • Support handover activities and long-term service sustainability
  • Proven experience as a Service Manager within complex IT or secure service environments
  • Strong understanding of service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
  • Experience managing KPIs, SLAs, and service performance reporting
  • Experience supporting audit, compliance, and governance activities
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience in defence, aerospace, or highly regulated environments
