Impact Kids has been a leader in providing safe, engaging, and impactful enrichment programs for over 10 years. We proudly serve students at public and private schools nationwide, offering them a secure space to learn, play, and thrive in our before, during, and after school programs.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking energetic and experienced individuals to teach coding to kids. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude and a genuine desire to inspire young minds through technology. Candidates should have a passion for coding and share that enthusiasm with children.

You will need to offer constructive feedback, implement lesson plans, and work collaboratively with your colleagues. Excellent communication skills with both children and their parents are essential, as is the ability to engage professionally with students, families, peers, and the broader community.

A Child Abuse clearance and background checks are mandatory.

Experience Requirements:

Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in roles such as academic or athletic tutoring, camp counseling, or youth mentorship, alongside at least 1 to 5 years of coding instruction experience.

Education Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.

Job Responsibilities:

The Coding Instructor is essential in fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment while providing coding and technology education.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing daily coding and technology lessons for students aged 4 to 18, catering to various skill levels.
  • Teaching essential coding and tech skills to enhance student development and proficiency.
  • Supervising groups of students, focusing on behavior management, health, safety, and personal development.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of both students and teammates.
  • Creating exciting and innovative daily lesson plans.
  • Utilizing effective classroom management strategies to foster a fun, inclusive atmosphere.
  • Collaborating effectively with fellow Activity Specialists and embracing your role as a positive role model.
  • Adhering to the Impact Kids Code of Conduct and upholding the program’s standards at all times.
  • Exemplifying the Core Values of Impact Kids and following company policies.
  • Contributing to a joyful environment!
Working Conditions and

Physical Requirements:

Willingness to travel is necessary. Candidates should be able to respond to emergencies that may require physical activity, such as running or climbing stairs, and should maintain the physical fitness needed to fulfill all job responsibilities.
