Outreach is a Christian community service organization providing counseling, case management, youth development, older adult service, and community development. For 50 years, Outreach has changed the lives of thousands of individuals, children, youth, and families in DuPage County, IL, and we are seeking to hire a diverse staff of highly competent professional employees to pursue Outreach’s mission to restore hope and provide opportunities for people to become all that God intends them to be.
Outreach is hiring a Substitute Teacher to support students in our after-school program academically and in life skills. Available locations to work include Carol Stream, Warrenville, and West Chicago. Part-time, temporary employment. Schedules vary slightly from site to site during the academic year. After-school program schedules have the earliest start time of 1:00pm (with some start times as late as 3:30pm) and latest end time of 6:30pm.

Responsibilities
- The Substitute Teacher will work with groups of students in academic instruction, community service, life skills instruction, and recreational activities.
- The Substitute Teacher facilitates behavior management, team building activities, and supports transporting students to and from the program.
Requirements
- BA in Education, Social Work, or a related field.
- Classroom or group experience with adolescents.
- Experience with and sensitivity to the needs of students from low-income, high-risk families.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Commitment to Outreach's Statement of Mission & Faith.
