Seeking creative, enthusiastic, caring, mature, and responsible team players! Give back this summer at Awesome Adventure Camp and Epic Adventure Camp. Foster a safe and active environment for kids K‑6, engage with campers in day‑to‑day activities, and implement crafts, games, and more as a camp coordinator. • Starting at $17.00/hour (based on experience).
• Complimentary Fitness Center and Coral Cove Water Park membership, two Coyote Crossing Mini Golf Passes, recognition awards, and social activities.

• Part‑time position (employees do not work more than 1,000 hours in a calendar year).

The Camp Coordinator is responsible for overseeing, evaluating, and planning the daily program operations as related to Awesome Adventure Camp and Epic Adventure Camp, including the efficient and effective interaction with various agencies and staff to ensure high quality programming.

• Continually plan, develop, evaluate, coordinate, and maintain assigned program areas to achieve continuous quality and improvement.
• Continually improve procedures and methods by pursuing trends and innovations within the industry.
• Assist with budgeting of assigned program areas and activities.
• Training, supervision, and evaluations of all program staff, or in supervisor’s absence.
• Prepare reports, statistics, and evaluations as requested on programs for continuous improvement.
• Assist with the development of newsletter copy and promotional materials.
• Continue education on new issues, procedures, and training techniques.
• Perform other related duties and/or special projects as assigned.
• Attend/oversee field trips as the point of contact person.
• Follow, administer, and implement district policies, guidelines, and crisis management.
• Maintain and promote excellent customer service relations with children, parents, and other affiliates.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all general and department safety rules and procedures. Enforce safety rules and procedures to improve public and employee knowledge by preventing, addressing, and correcting unsafe and inappropriate behavior.
• Must follow, administer, and implement Carol Stream Park District policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• On‑site evaluations of programs resulting in written report and suggestions as requested by supervisor.

• High school diploma required and 2‑3 years college education in related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience working with children preferred.
• Strong communication, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to use basic mathematics, be detail‑oriented, and able to multi‑task.
• Applicants are preferred to be available for the entire camp season (subject to change based on CCSD
  93 Calendar):
• Awesome Adventure Camp:
  June 8 – August 14, 2026.
• Epic Adventure Camp:
  June 4 – August 18, 2026.
• Must be available for pre‑season training starting May 27, 2026.
• May be responsible for the transportation of participants, and must successfully pass a driver’s abstract and post‑offer drug test.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Minimum age 18.
