Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Women's Health
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer specializing in Women's Health to join our esteemed team of sonographers. This role involves working closely with obstetricians, gynecologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging for female patients. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, a compassionate approach, and a commitment to women's health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations with a focus on women's health, including obstetric and gynecologic imaging.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it remains in excellent working condition.
- Collaborate with physicians to assist in the interpretation of ultrasound results and provide accurate and timely reports.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during, offering clear explanations and support.
- Maintain comprehensive patient records and documentation in accordance with medical standards and privacy regulations.
- Follow established protocols and guidelines in the performance of ultrasound examinations.
- Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in sonography and women's health.
- Participate in continuous professional development and team meetings as required.
- An accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography with a specialty in OB/GYN.
- Certification from a recognized accrediting body such as the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a healthcare setting, preferably specializing in women's health.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
- Compassionate and patient‑centered approach. ul>
- Part‑time position, approximately 15‑20 hrs per week - outpatient, private physician office.
- Flexible scheduling Monday‑Friday days with 1 Saturday per month 8‑12 pm.
