PositionDescription:
The Child Clinical Psychologist is responsible for administering psychological and neuropsychological assessments in the diagnostic center, as well as providing as‑needed case management services and referrals for recommended therapies.
The majority of clients are children ages 2 to 6 being evaluated for autism and related concerns.
While not required, if interested, Child Clinical Psychologists can also carry a therapy caseload of individual and/or family therapy clients.
Other duties of the position may include:
- Maintain 10 to 12 evaluations per month (adjusted for part‑time)
- Conduct thorough intake and feedback sessions with clients and families
- Review information obtained from interviews, tests, questionnaires, and records
- Identify psychological, emotional, and behavioral issues; diagnose disorders
- Oversee testing cases and consult with psychometrists regarding battery changes
- Write comprehensive reports based on data and observations
- Collaborate with other psychologists and providers regarding case conceptualization
- Provide resources to schools and communicate with schools / medical professionals
- Maintain targeted therapy caseload hours per week (if participating)
This position will assess for a range of referral concerns, including autism, ADHD, developmental disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and conduct‑related conditions.
The new Child Clinical Psychologist should have a passion for working with children with developmental delays.
Requirements:- PhD or PsyD, Clinical or School Psychology
- Internship or post‑doctoral training in assessment & treatment w/ children
- Current Illinois license or registration in clinical psychology (or eligibility)
- Experience conducting pediatric psychological / neuropsychological evaluations
- Training and proficiency administering ADOS‑2 preferred, not required
