Calibration Technician Job Description Summary
The Calibration Technician conducts calibrations & preventative maintenance of equipment used in the plant in accordance with cGMP, company policy, and safety regulations. This role supports daily workflow and problem‑solves issues to ensure consistent quality. The team reports to the Quality department.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Calibrate manufacturing, inspection, measurement, and test equipment in electrical, dimensional, optical, physical/mechanical, and chemical areas to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Measure, compile, analyse and summarize calibration data.
- Coordinate calibration activities with third‑party calibration service providers.
- Identify out‑of‑tolerance conditions and perform corrective action through adjustments or component replacement.
- Maintain secondary and/or working calibration standards.
- Prepare and review calibration reports, internal forms, certificates, and labels.
- Use various inspection tools and adapt them to perform diverse inspections.
- Document inspection data by completing inspection test reports and filing hard copies or scanning them online.
- Initiate unscheduled maintenance reports for non‑conforming materials and equipment.
- Complete all required paperwork and tasks within established guidelines.
- Follow established GMP procedures.
- Maintain high attention to detail, accuracy, and overall quality of work.
- Keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly, following BD safety policies.
- Adhere to corporate safety standards and local operating procedures.
- Follow Quality Systems Regulations and established procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate teamwork, self‑motivation, effective communication, and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Read and interpret data to reach sound decisions.
- Work with radioactive materials if required.
- Consistently perform calibrations and related tasks with precision and professionalism.
- Adapt to dynamic requirements and methodologies in the calibration program.
- Work all shifts and overtime as needed.
- Experience in a QA/QC environment.
- Experience in calibration or other measurement testing, and familiarity with regulatory asset management software such as Blue Mountain RAM or Indysoft.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of calibration or testing experience with measuring equipment.
- Proficiency in mathematics.
- Proficient with PC, keyboarding, and Microsoft Office.
- Common tooling knowledge and skills.
The employee regularly stands, walks, sits, uses sight, and uses hands to manipulate, handle, or feel objects, tools, controls, and office equipment. The employee may need to sit, stand, reach above the head, squat, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and occasionally carry or lift a minimum of 35 lbs. Verbal communication with associates is frequent.
