What You’ll Be DoingPlay a pivotal role in the seamless flow of operations by expertly receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. With precision and efficiency, you will ensure every item is accounted for, positioned for optimal accessibility, and delivered where it’s needed most—driving productivity. You will perform the following key functions:
- Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, product code, or customer
- Fills requisition, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line
- Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department
- Wrap skids of cartons and roll stock in preparation for shipment
- Mark materials with identifying information
- Record amount of materials or items received or distributed
- Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
- Use WMS system to enter or locate items needed for delivery to other departments or to customers
- Drive forklift to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment
- Perform inspection for all trucks prior to loading product
- Prepare parcels for mailing
- Unload material from inbound truck
- Responsible for maintaining, labeling and handling of hazardous waste
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner so that you get along with clients, customers, vendors, co-workers and supervisors
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the manager and/or designee
- 1 to 2 years’ experience required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- RF Scanner experience a plus
- Forklift experience required; stand up forklift experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, vendors, coworkers and supervisors
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- A drive to succeed with a self-starter approach and a can-do attitude
- Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must hold a valid Illinois driver's license

and talk or hear. You must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Employees are occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. To ensure safety, all employees are required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary, including but not limited to gloves, hairnets, safety glasses, ear protection, and other protection when applicable.
