Starting Pay: $22.08 per hour

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 1st shift (6:00 am – 2:30 pm)

Responsibilities

The Material Handler supports the production of materials, including packaging, handling, transportation, and tasks associated with machine operation as directed by the foreman.

  • Perform all tasks safely and identify hazards in the production environment.
  • Adhere to all Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
  • Uphold standards set by the management team.
  • Execute machine-specific or situational duties assigned by the foreman.
  • Operate both Stand‑Up (4K Capacity) and Sit‑Down (8K+ Capacity) forklifts safely.
  • Unload trucks with incoming material.
  • Put away newly tagged inventory and restocked material in correct locations.
  • Tip and deliver stock to machines as requested.
  • Deliver production-related items (e.g., spacers, scrap boxes, skids) to where needed.
  • Tare skids for use.
  • Respond to appropriate lights on machines in a timely manner.
  • Package material according to customer specifications, QA alerts, or posted best practices.
  • Assist the Operator with any required tasks.
Qualifications
  • Experience operating sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts.
  • Competent in the use of banders.
  • Ability to read and understand customer specifications, posted notices, and QA alerts.
  • Commitment to the established values and culture of Wieland.
  • Full compliance with all company policies and procedures, i.e., safety, attendance, dress code, etc.
