Fitness Attendant

• Starting at $16.00/hour - $17.00/hour.

• Part-time position (employees do not work more than 1,000 hours in a calendar year).
• Closing shifts (6:45pm - 10:15pm).

The Fitness Attendant is responsible for maintaining facility cleanliness, providing excellent customer service, and overseeing general operations at Fountain View Fitness.

• Primary focus is to complete cleaning tasks, basic maintenance, and safety checks. Return equipment to its proper location. Keep supplies stocked.
• Provide excellent customer service and a welcoming environment for members.
• Lead orientations for new members and provide instruction on equipment use.
• Conduct tours, promote membership packages, and utilize sales techniques to convert prospects into members.
• Scan members into group fitness classes and address inactive memberships.
• Proactively manage and inform supervisor about member, equipment, and facility issues.
• Enforce rules and safety protocol, assist with accidents and incidents, and implement district policies and procedures.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year of applicable experience and basic fitness equipment knowledge.
• Outgoing, friendly personality with strong customer service skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to problem-solve and multi-task with minimal direction.
• CPR/AED certification required within six months (training provided) and maintained throughout employment.
• Must be able to stand for the majority of a shift, bend, reach, and lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
• Minimum age: 18.
