We are seeking an enthusiastic Front Desk Coordinator to join our practice. The role involves overseeing front desk operations, providing exceptional customer service, managing patient interactions, and supporting clinical staffing. The coordinator ensures the office runs smoothly, patients are greeted promptly, appointments are scheduled effectively, and administrative tasks are completed accurately.
Responsibilities- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar.
- Answer phone calls and address inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department.
- Verify patient information and insurance details.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments based on dentist availability.
- Send appointment reminders to patients and confirm appointments.
- Handle appointment cancellations and reschedule appointments.
- Ensure re‑care appointments are scheduled and follow up with patients on unscheduled treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
- Handle patient registration and check‑in/check‑out processes.
- Process and verify insurance information.
- Collect and record payments for services rendered.
- Oversee collections of aged receivables.
- Coordinate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Address patient concerns and resolve issues related to appointments, billing, or service.
- Collaborate with dental professionals to handle patient complaints effectively.
- Proven experience in a front desk or administrative role, preferably in a dental office.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes.
- Proficient in using dental office software and general office applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to lift up to 15-30 pounds at times.
