LHH is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical and electromechanical assemblies for high-precision CNC machinery. This role will also support the integration of automation systems and contribute to product innovation, ensuring top performance and reliability. The anticipated salary for this role is between $85,000-$110,000 a year.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies based on project requirements.
  • Create detailed 3D CAD models, layouts, and fabrication drawings for machined, sheet‑metal, and welded components.
  • Perform simulations and interference checks using 3D CAD software to ensure design feasibility and quality.
  • Evaluate systems and components using principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to support ongoing and prospective projects.
  • Maintain design documentation and participate in ECO/ECN review processes.
  • Contribute to and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) within ERP systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies, ideally in the machine tool industry.
  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD (Solid Works or Inventor preferred).
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing materials, machining processes, and sheet metal design.
  • Experience with castings, weldments, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Familiarity with PDM vault systems, ECO/ECN workflows, and ERP integration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Professional demeanor and discretion when handling confidential information.
