$24.00/hr - $29.00/hr

Our Surface Grinder - Tool and Die will perform all required duties for successful operation of the tool room surface water grinder area.

• Keep a clean and safe work area
• Must be able to set up and operate various types of surface grinders
• Monitor quality and maintain tight tolerances
• Read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments/gages
• Understanding CAD designs off progressive tools and dies
• Responsible for the training of tool and die maker apprentices in the grinding area
• Maintain proper machine records for preventative maintenance
• Understand tool steel materials and H/T process
• Understand operation of the tool room
• Assisting Tool Makers with grinding needs
• Assist with other related duties as required or assigned

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Tool room grinding
• Blueprint reading and understanding CAD drawings
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. with assistance as necessary
• Ability to push 200 lbs. on wheeled carts with assistance as necessary
• Ability to use various inspection equipment
• Must be available for mandatory overtime or non-standard or extended work schedule

• Target hourly hiring range: $24.00 to $29.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
• Profit Sharing Bonus – OTTO believes that it’s fair to share the profits that the employees help to make; profit sharing is distributed to employees twice a year. OTTO’s profit sharing plan is paid at the discretion of the company and is not a guaranteed bonus or any part of a compensation plan.
• Vacation: five days after 30 days of employment and 80 hours at 1 year – vacation time is earned on the anniversary date.
