Molding Technician – 2nd shift

Our Molding Technician 2nd shift is a senior position responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process, including setup, troubleshooting, training, equipment maintenance, and workflow management.

Specifically, the Molding Technician 2nd Shift Will:

• Perform all tasks of the Molding Machine Operator and Molding Technician Trainee positions as needed
• Set up molding machines per production schedules
• Confirm proper material use according to BOMs
• Perform quarterly material inventory
• Assist in reducing scrap
• Perform advanced tool changeovers as required
• Run samples and formulate processes
• Assist in maintaining departmental routers
• Troubleshoot complex processing problems
• Assist with other related duties as required or assigned
• Train new employees
• Optimize existing processes
• Demonstrate leadership skills

Qualifications Needed:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of injection molding experience
• Experience with tool changeovers
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. at shoulder height with assistance
• Reliable attendance
• Ability to differentiate between colors
• Availability for nonstandard or extended work schedules
• Good communication skills
• Moderate computer skills
• Knowledge of inspection tools and their use

What OTTO Offers:

The hourly range listed is an estimate based on qualifications and experience, with exceptions for highly experienced candidates.

• Target hourly rate: $22.00 to $28.00
• Profit Sharing Bonus:
  Distributed twice a year (discretionary)
• Vacation: 5 days after 30 days of employment, 80 hours after 1 year
