Wire EDM Operator – 1st shift

OTTO’s opportunity:

Our Wire EDM Operator – 1st shift will program, set up, run, and maintain multiple Mitsubishi Wire EDM machines and will also be able to set up, run, and maintain the Belmont EDM drill.

Specifically, the Wire EDM Operator – 1st shift will:

• Assist with daily machine tasks
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly machine maintenance
• Drop slugs on active programs
• Bead blast post-EDM details and plates
• Assist with other related duties as required or assigned
• Keep a clean and safe work area
• Multi-task effectively as a major part of the role

What you’ll need to bring to the table:

• 2 years CNC set-up experience
• 2 years CNC programming experience (cad cam software such as Mastercam or Esprit)
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, height gauge, depth mic)
• Ability to lift and move 90 lbs. with assistance as necessary
• Ability to push 200 lbs. on wheeled carts with assistance as necessary
• Must be available for mandatory overtime or non‑standard or extended work schedule

Preferred skills and experience:

• Experience with WEDM (Wire Electrical Discharge Machining) set‑up and operating
• Experience using Esprit cam
• Experience using Mitsubishi EDM machines or similar platforms (GF, Sodick, Fanuc)

• Target hourly hiring range: $25.00 to $31.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
• Profit sharing bonus – OTTO shares profits with employees twice a year. The plan is at the discretion of the company and is not a guaranteed bonus.
• Vacation: five days after 30 days of employment and 80 hours at 1 year – vacation time is earned on the anniversary date.
