TE Connectivity’s Advanced Systems Architecture Group and Kilovac Products Design Center conceive original ideas for new products, and work directly with customers to introduce them into practice. An R&D Product Development Engineer will contribute to various aspects of product development, complementing existing resources, and performing mechanical and electrical design tasks including electromechanical and solid‑state power system switching components and power distribution systems.

• Design power electronics circuits up to 1200 Vdc (op‑amps, power sources, DC/DC conversion, logic devices, embedded computing).
• Develop schematics, PCB layouts and perform circuit analysis (electrical and thermal) using simulation tools such as Spice, Ansys, MATLAB/Simulink.
• Maintain focus and complete tasks on time; communicate and present results to customers.
• Hands‑on hardware building – electrical, mechanical and software aspects.
• Experience with software tools:
  AutoCAD, Space Claim, Creo, Altium, LabVIEW; ERP (SAP) is a plus.
• Proficiency in ANSI C/C++; knowledge of serial interface communication protocols.

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in electrical or mechanical product development.
• US citizenship required; role is onsite at Carpinteria, CA.
• Ability to work a 40‑hour week, five days a week on site.
• Good communication and presentation skills.

• Competitive base salary: $98,600 – $147,900 (subject to change based on experience and location).
• Base salary plus incentive(s) and benefits.
