Part-time Retail Associate - 915 Carpinteria at Chedraui USA
Store
Location:
850 Linden Avenue, Carpinteria, California, 93013, United States
Starting Rate: $16.50 per hour
What You’ll Do- Maintain a store section as assigned and stock merchandise using proper equipment (excluding power/heavy equipment).
- Ensure proper pricing, check product date codes to validate rotation, stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays and refrigerated/frozen cases.
- Prepare perishable products for sale as needed.
- Set up advertising/promotional displays.
- Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of store and parking lot as directed by store management.
- Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and courteous assistance to customers with current store and product information.
- When requested, assist customers to their vehicles with loading purchases.
- Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including recording lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools.

- Read and write English; interact with the general public and co-workers.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
- Write simple correspondence.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and coworkers.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Basic PC/Outlook skills and Retail Management Certificate are a plus.
The Part-time Retail Associate performs management-assigned duties, which may include stocking and maintaining a store section, carry-out services and store cleaning.
