Service Technician – Commercial HVAC

EMCOR Services Mesa Energy is hiring a Service Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial HVAC equipment. Join our team of mechanical and electrical specialists dedicated to high‑quality service.

• Install and set up new HVAC units, including brazing, line sets, refrigerant trimming, and charging.
• Install piping systems (drain piping, p‑traps, water lines, gas lines, valves, and actuators).
• Install and service coils, compressors, condensers, fans, motors, combustion equipment, and industrial air compressors.
• Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Perform start‑up, testing, and commissioning of RTUs, air handlers, VAVs, fan coil units, swamp coolers, and other commercial HVAC equipment.
• Test lines, components, and connections for leaks and perform brazing or soldering repairs as necessary.
• Conduct preventative maintenance (vacuuming, cleaning, filter replacement, oiling parts).
• Operate and maintain hand tools, equipment, and testing devices required for work assignments.
• Perform tasks with minimal supervision in isolated areas.
• Follow written and verbal instructions with safety and efficiency.

• Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining similar size commercial HVAC equipment.
• Current Universal CFC certification.
• Experience working on ladders, roofs, and attics.
• Understanding of basic electrical circuits, disconnects, electric valves, and low‑ and high‑voltage wiring.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb., stand, sit, squat, and work at extended heights.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (dust mask, gloves, eye protection, hearing protection).

Compensation Range: $40 – $60 per hour (determined by CBA/rate sheet and test results).
