Incumbent will work Monday 8:00am–8:00pm, 3 days 8:00am–5:00pm, and 1 day 8:00am–1:00pm. Additionally, 2 Saturday Work Days will be required per month - Benefits

- Utilize nursing knowledge and required skills to ensure appropriate assessments.
- Assess individual patient conditions using clinical observation, medical record, verbal information and interaction with patient/family and care team.
- Identify the impact of cultural diversity and lifestyle choices on patient condition and make accommodations for such differences.
- Implement providers' orders effectively and in a timely manner.
- Respond quickly and perform proficiently and precisely during crises and emergency situations.
- Contribute to optimal efficiency and productivity of the clinical care team by anticipating needs of patient and provider during the medical encounter.
- Utilize clinical judgment and critical thinking to provide appropriate advice or intervention in response to triage and document appropriately.
- Document clinical activities in a timely, legible, relevant, comprehensive, confidential and accurate manner.
- Follow protocol for reporting equipment malfunctions, safety hazards and incidents promptly to appropriate person.
- Utilize Personal Protective Equipment appropriately.
- Contribute to quality control/safety by participating in routine checks including code cart, medications, equipment and refrigerator temperatures.
- Perform or assist with sterilization of instruments and cleaning equipment.
- Assess learning needs of patient/family and select appropriate teaching method based on age, learning ability, and other pertinent factors.
- Perform/assist in medical procedures, treatments, and tests using skilled technique, following all prescribed safety regulations and document as appropriate.
- Routinely make accommodations to patients' needs relative to age, medical history, condition of patient, and type of treatment being given.
- Education
:
Associates or Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Nursing. - Current/valid License
: NC Registered Nurse and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required. - Required Experience
:
One year of general registered nursing experience preferably within the last five years. The one year requirement may be waived when a Bachelor of Science in Nursing has been obtained within the last two years with coursework in Community Health Nursing and a community health internship completed within the last two years. - Preferred Experience
:
Previous experience in an ambulatory health care setting. - Immunizations
:
Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date prior to beginning employment.
