Program Overview

The Operating Partner Development Program (OPDP) is a nine‑month comprehensive training experience designed to build the next generation of leaders for our company‑owned retail stores. The program targets ambitious, self‑starter employees ready to own their professional development and make a real impact. During the training you will be immersed in the business, empowered to experiment, and mentored by industry leaders who are invested in your success.

After completing the program, you will relocate to your future market and start your new career as an Operating Partner. As an Operating Partner, you will own your store’s success by delivering exceptional customer experiences, mentoring and developing an incredible team, and making a lasting impact in your community.

Responsibilities
  • Build Your Personal Brand
    Develop a unique leadership style, gain hands‑on experience in key business areas, identify strengths and passions, and build an authentic personal brand.
  • Learn by Doing
    Participate in a rotational, experience‑based training program from our headquarters in Carrboro, NC. Your rotations include:
    • Operations – master sales, inventory and training programs.
    • Management – lead a retail team and experiment with leadership strategies.
    • Marketing – develop and execute community outreach plans and try new ideas.
  • Mentorship & Accountability
    Pair with experienced leaders for coaching and feedback. Drive your own development, transition into an Operating Partner, and receive relocation assistance, lease breakage support, and a placement bonus upon final placement.
Qualifications
  • Minimum six months retail, hospitality or customer service experience.
  • Leadership experience in community, career or peers.
  • Passion for community involvement and readiness to relocate for this opportunity.
  • Positive, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to learn and grow.
