Junior Florist
Alconbury
Monday – Friday, full time permanent

Salary £27,000

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Florist to support with the preparation, assembly, and maintenance of high-quality floral arrangements. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop their floristry skills within a fast-paced, creative studio environment, within a progressive organisation.

The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day studio operations, ensure an organised and efficient workspace, and contribute to delivering exceptional floral products that exceed and uphold brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in creating floral arrangements for a variety of occasions, from bouquets to large-scale event designs.
  • Prepare flowers and materials, including trimming, conditioning, and organising stock for production.
  • Ensure all arrangements meet required design specifications and quality standards.
  • Support stock rotation to minimise waste and maintain product freshness.
  • Assist with receiving, checking, and unpacking flower deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe studio environment in line with health and safety standards.
  • Prepare customer orders for collection or delivery, ensuring presentation and quality are exceptional.
  • Support on-site event installations as required, working collaboratively with the team.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance floristry skills.
  • Stay up to date with current floristry trends and techniques.
  • Actively seek and respond positively to feedback to improve performance.
The Ideal Candidate:
Essential:
  • Basic floristry knowledge with some hands-on arranging experience desirable.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong aesthetic awareness.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Reliable and accountable, consistently maintaining high standards.
  • Adaptable and solutions-focused in a fast-paced setting.
Desirable:
  • Experience in a studio, retail, or creative environment.
  • Knowledge of flower care and handling techniques.
  • Experience with packaging, ribboning, or decorative finishing techniques.
