Assistant SENCo – SEMH School (Birkenhead)

Part-Time | 2 Days per Week | Long-Term | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

Academics are currently recruiting for an Assistant SENCo to support a busy SEMH school in Birkenhead, working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

This is a part-time role (2 days per week), ideal for an experienced SEN professional looking to take the next step or gain further leadership experience within a specialist setting. As an Assistant SENCo, you will work closely with the school’s SENCo, providing vital support in a fast-paced and rewarding SEMH environment.

• Supporting the SENCo with day-to-day SEN provision
• Assisting with EHCPs, reviews, and SEN documentation
• Supporting staff and students across KS3 and KS4
• Working collaboratively within a committed SEMH team

• Specialist SEMH provision
• Supportive leadership and staff team
• Very busy, rewarding environment where no two days are the same

• Long-term position
• Part-time (2 days per week)
• Opportunity to become temp-to-perm for the right candidate
