Position: Teaching Assistant Level 2 [SEND]

Teaching Assistant Pay Band D / SCP 5-6

£25,583 - £25,989 Plus SEND Allowance of £1,539 pro rata per annum

(Actual Salary: £18,859 - £19,159 plus SEND Allowance of £1,135 per annum

30 hours per week / 46 weeks per year (Flexibility will be required)

We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant who:

  • Is experienced in supporting a pupil(s) with specific complex needs on a 1 to 1 / small group basis helping to develop independence and communication interaction.
  • Be suitably qualified and have experience of working with pupils who have SLD/ASC/SEMH/Complex needs
  • Will promote, enhance and actively support our Catholic ethos.
  • Supports the vision for the school and has excellent organisational and inter-personal skills.
  • Is an outstanding classroom practitioner who has a keen desire for improving learning especially those children with additional SEND needs and a determination to seek the best in all aspects of school life.
  • Has high expectations of achievement for all and is committed to raising standards, ensuring children achieve their full potential
  • Is adaptable and able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
  • Is committed to working in partnership with colleagues, other professionals and families
  • Has a good sense of humour and a willingness to play an active part in the school team.
