🚀 Join the S-RC Cup Outreach Team – Inspire the Next Generation of STEM Talent!
The S-RC Cup is the UK’s new student RC motor sport championship, combining racing, engineering, and STEM education. We work with schools and youth groups to give students hands-on experience building and racing their own mini cars while learning valuable STEM skills.
Are you a student passionate about motor sport, STEM, and working with young people? Want to gain real-world experience while making a tangible impact? The S-RC Cup is looking for Student Outreach Ambassadors to help bring schools and youth groups on board with our STEM racing programme.
This is volunteer, but the experience, skills, and connections you’ll gain are invaluable.
What you’ll do – starting immediately:
- Reach out to schools, colleges, and youth organisations to introduce them to the S-RC Cup STEM+ programme.
- Hold phone or video calls, emails, and in-person visits to explain the programme and answer questions.
- Support schools in getting their student teams registered and ready to compete.
- Coordinate with our central team to track outreach progress and schedule workshops or demo sessions.
- Act as a friendly, knowledgeable ambassador for STEM and motor sport.
Who we’re looking for:
- Current students (university or college) with an interest in STEM, education, or motor sport.
- Confident communicators who enjoy speaking to people and explaining ideas.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage your own outreach schedule.
- Enthusiastic about helping young people get involved in STEM activities.
Why this role is great for you:
- Excellent experience for aspiring educators, engineers, or STEM outreach professionals.
- Hands-on experience in programme management, event coordination, and STEM engagement.
- Networking with educators, motor sport professionals, and like-minded peers.
- Mentorship and training from an experienced team.
- Flexible volunteering hours – perfect for fitting around studies.
- The satisfaction of helping students build skills, confidence, and a love of STEM.
Ready to make an impact? Apply today and start helping schools and students get on board with the S-RC Cup!
