We are hoping to find a kind caring person to care for our daughter who is 33 years old and has Down Syndrome. The position would involve taking her out one day every weekend to have fun in the community while keeping her safe; she enjoys most activities including cinema, theatre and loves to browse around a charity shop.
Duties include:
Eating and drinking assistance, Companionship, Bathroom assistance.
Qualifications:
- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Honest and cheerful
- Creative
- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
