We have great products, great people, and great customers. About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Welding Operative to join our team. Working as a Production Operative in the Welding department, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating stainless steel metalwork used in commercial kitchen and catering equipment. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to read technical welding drawings, and a strong commitment to quality and safety standards.

Hours of Work This is a full-time position, working on a 2-on, 2-off basis, from 5:00 to 16:50. Key Areas of Responsibility:
Perform TIG welding on stainless steel metalwork to excellent quality standards. Fabricate and finish metal products to engineering specifications. Read and interpret welding drawings and fabrication plans. Work collaboratively with production and assembly teams to ensure on-time delivery. Operate welding and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently. Inspect welded products to ensure adherence to required standards. Ensure daily production and utilisation targets are met consistently.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

Reasonable English and Numeracy skills. Previous welding and fabrication experience. Experience working with TIG welding processes. Knowledge of materials including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Knowledge of fabrication tools and welding equipment. Ability to accurately understand dimensions and measurements. Hardworking, loyal and flexible attitude. Organisational and time management skills and the ability to assess and manage priorities. Communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively within a team.

Understanding of production processes. Understanding of Health and Safety and security procedures.
