Ofsted Children’s Residential Quality & Compliance Consultant Pre-Inspection Readiness

📍 England (remote + onsite)

We are looking for experienced Quality & Compliance Consultants to deliver pre-inspection readiness and improvement support across children’s residential services.

This is a hands-on, outcomes-focused contract role
, supporting providers to strengthen evidence, address gaps, and present services confidently and accurately ahead of inspection.

The emphasis is on practical improvement and clear written outputs
, not policy rewriting or long-term consultancy.

• Deliver pre-inspection readiness reviews
  , aligned to service type and inspection expectations
• Complete prioritised gap analysis with clear actions, owners, and timescales
• Produce evidence checklists and improvement plans that are realistic and inspection-ready
• Review governance, safeguarding, quality assurance, and recording standards
• Provide clear, concise written reports suitable for senior leadership and inspection use
• Optional follow-up support, coaching, or progress checks where required
• Strong background in children’s residential quality, compliance, or governance
• Proven experience supporting services through inspection preparation or improvement
• Excellent written reporting skills and evidence discipline
• Ability to influence senior leaders calmly and credibly
• Demonstrable outcomes from previous quality improvement or inspection-readiness work
• Flexible contract or associate engagement
• Day rate or project-based fee
• Remote delivery with onsite work as required
