Client Engagement Executive

Salary & Benefits:

£25,000 per annum, dependent on experience

We are seeking to recruit a proactive, bright, articulate and motivated individual to research suitable opportunities to deploy our investors’ funds.

Playing a crucial part in the Business Development team, you will be responsible for providing the Business Development Managers (BDMs) with high quality, well-researched opportunities.

Zestec Renewable Energy, part of the Octopus Energy Group of companies, specialises in the origination, development and management of commercial and residential solar systems and portfolios on behalf of institutional investors.

Our team has a wealth of experience in making clean, green electricity available to businesses and other institutions at a lower cost than they pay for traditional energy.

We save clients’ money and contribute significantly to their Net Zero agendas. In a short time we have gained industry recognition as a market leader in this area and our team is growing accordingly.

Wholly owned by one of the funds managed by Octopus Energy Generations and as part of the Octopus Energy Group we have a great platform for expanding our capabilities in the Commercial and Industrial renewable energy market. Octopus Renewables manages a diverse portfolio of assets with a capacity of over 3GW, making it one of the largest commercial solar investors in Europe and a leading investor in solar and onshore wind.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to forge a career in the renewable energy sector. We need someone to:

• Identify prospective customers / sites that meet our investment criteria.
• Research each opportunity using available tools, our own data set and other external data sources as appropriate.
• Identify and research the owners of these sites, including key contacts, financial information and other suitable business information, this may include tools that we use to estimate energy consumption.
• Engage site owners to discuss the opportunity for deploying institutional funds for renewable energy assets such as solar, batteries and others. Engagement will be via phone, email, Linked In and other means.
• Collate information into an agreed format for sharing and hand over with the BD team.
• Maintain database of opportunities and transfer to CRM as appropriate.
• As experience develops, support the BD team as appropriate on external sales meetings.

The successful candidate will have a pro‑active, excellent attention to detail, self‑motivated, resilient and adaptable personality, ideally computer and financially literate, specifically;

• Excel
• Google (Google Earth highly desirable)
• Power Point
• Familiarity with Linked In and other social media platforms
