Plains Area Mental Health, Inc. is a Community Mental Health Center with 10 locations in Northwest Iowa. PAMHC is seeking a full-time Psychologist based out of our Carroll location. Travel to our satellite offices is required. The position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Anticipated start for this position is July of 2025. This position will provide assessments through observation, testing, and interviewing to provide diagnostic clarifications to support interventions for clients in achieving mental wellness and maximum functioning.

Pay Range:

$94,000.00 up to $ depending on experience

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducting psychological assessments to evaluate emotional, cognitive, and behavioral functioning
  • Diagnosing and developing treatment plans and recommendations
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential client records
  • Collaborating with other mental health professionals to coordinate comprehensive care
  • Refer clients for treatment of psychological disorders as warranted and appropriate
  • Keeps current on testing and diagnostic related material, rules, and practices
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Requirements:

  • Valid Iowa licensure to practice as an Independent Doctor of Psychology
  • One-Two years’ experience in conducting assessments in an outpatient setting
  • Valid Driver’s License and Insurance
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    Bilingual a plus, but not required
