Position SummaryResponsible for overall leadership and management of health and well‑being of residents within the community.
Responsibilities- Ensure the community follows all federal, state, and local laws and regulations as they pertain to clinical care.
- Collect, analyze, and report occurrence trends; develop/implement improvement plans.
- Partner with the Administrator and other team members to maintain resident and team member health safety.
- Coordinate with pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.
- Provide clinical expertise to licensed nurses.
- Assist with educational presentations as assigned by administrator.
- Identify ongoing needs and services of residents through assessment/Service Plan process.
- Oversee monthly updates and report any pertinent changes to responsible party.
- Collaborate with department coordinators to review potential changes in service/medication levels.
- Ensure resident service plans are updated per state regulations.
- Participate in community awareness activities and relations.
- Maintain communications with residents’ family and/or responsible party regarding changes.
- Inform Business Office of fee changes related to care needs.
- Schedule clinical staff on a monthly basis.
- Ensure adequate clinical supplies are available.
- Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Provide supervision to LPNs, Certified Nursing Assistants, and others as assigned to ensure high quality care delivery. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications Educational Requirements and Experience- Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing; RN preferred.
- One (1) year in a nursing leadership role;
Senior Living experience preferred. - BSL Certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new applications.
- Interest in working with a senior population.
- Effective communication, including speaking primary language of residents.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Apply common sense understanding to follow written or verbal instructions.
- Interact with guests, residents, and staff in a courteous manner.
- Respond promptly to resident needs.
- Works primarily indoors in a climate‑controlled setting.
- May be exposed to blood, body fluids, chemicals, unpleasant odors, and infectious diseases.
Regularly stand and walk; use hands and arms; occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Push up to 350 lb. specific vision: close and distance.
