University of West Georgia (UWG) invites applications for the Student Assistant - Service Desk, Housing and Residence Life role. This role supports Housing and Residence Life operations, providing safe, secure, and excellent customer service within the residential communities.
Responsibilities- Safety and Security Oversight:
Take charge of maintaining a safe and secure environment within the residential communities, responding promptly and effectively to any security concerns or emergencies and utilizing software effectively. - Service Desk Operations:
Collaborate closely with the residence hall's leadership team to efficiently manage Service Desk operations, ensuring smooth functioning at all times. - Compliance and Policy Adherence:
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of University policies, rules, and regulations, and consistently uphold them in all interactions and operations. - Procedural Adherence:
Follow established Service Desk procedures diligently to ensure consistency and reliability in service delivery. - Customer Service Excellence:
Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, guests, and housing staff, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly, courteously, and effectively.
- Must be a current University of West Georgia student enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours and maintaining at least a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average.
- Preference given to continuing employees of Housing and Residence Life in good standing and to students who live on campus.
- Sitting for long periods of time.
- Occasional walking and standing.
