Assistant Professor – General Education Mathematics

University of West Georgia (UWG), located in Carrollton, GA, is a leading residential, doctoral comprehensive university with over 16,000 students and more than 100 programs.

The position is a tenure‑track assistant professor of General Education Mathematics, with a proposed start date of August 2026.

• Teach four sections of General Education Mathematics courses each semester.
• Distribute approximately 10% of workload to service of the department, college, university, community, and profession.
• Devote about 10% of workload to professional development activities, with an emphasis on the scholarship of teaching and learning or scholarly teaching relevant to General Education Mathematics.
• Foster student success across all courses.

• Terminal degree in Mathematics or a related field.
• Experience teaching first‑year students in General Education Mathematics courses and experience teaching in face‑to‑face modality.

• Experience teaching in fully online and hybrid modality.
• Experience teaching corequisite learning support.
