Job SummaryStudent will attend all weekly laboratory classes and assist the instructor with answering student questions and grading, along with other tasks as assigned by the instructor. If online sessions are required, student would need to hold virtual office hours. Compiling rock kits may also be required.
Required Qualifications- Must be a current UWG student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours.
- Must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.
- Teaching assistants must have received a B or higher in the laboratory class they are assisting with.
Teaching assistants are selected on the basis of faculty recommendation, academic skill, leadership, character, and ability to communicate well with others. They are expected to have extensive knowledge of the subject matter they are working with. Assistants should maintain high ethical and professional standards.
Physical Requirements / Working ConditionsStudent may need to stand during parts of the lab time.
