Location: Carrollton, GA 30116 Contract- 5 Months Client

Job Summary
We are seeking a Compliance Consultant to support environmental and regulatory compliance for our plant operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of environmental laws, permits, and CCR (Coal Combustion Residuals) programs
, with the ability to proactively identify and address compliance and safety issues. This position plays a key role in maintaining operational excellence, ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local environmental requirements.
- Maintain a thorough and current understanding of environmental laws and regulations as they apply to plant operations.
- Support compliance with environmental permits, CCR program requirements, and related regulations
. - Serve as a liaison between plant operations and corporate environmental compliance personnel to ensure programs and projects are properly implemented.
- Recognize and address safety and environmental compliance issues proactively, ensuring timely resolution.
- Lead by example in promoting compliance, environmental stewardship, and safety excellence.
- Manage assigned environmental programs and conduct self‑assessments and program audits
. - Support regional environmental compliance duties
, including work at Plant Yates or other nearby facilities as required. - Provide backup support for compliance specialists and assist in preparing reports, audits, and documentation for regulatory agencies.
- Experience in environmental compliance within power generation, industrial, or utility operations preferred.
- Hands‑on experience with CCR, NPDES, air, and waste compliance programs is highly desirable.
- Technical
Skills:- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
. - Familiarity with environmental management systems (EMS) and audit processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Experience with Southern Company or similar utility environmental programs
. - Ability to travel occasionally to support multiple plant sites.
