CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist - OR Open Heart (Days)
The Scrub Technician - Certified is responsible for the preparation of, as well as providing, technical assistance to physicians during the performance of surgical invasive procedures. The technician is responsible for care, cleaning, and maintenance of specialized equipment, instruments, supplies, and sterilization equipment. Basic patient care functions are performed within established guidelines under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Education:
High School Diploma plus 1 year vocational school - Experience:
Two years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures. - Licenses and
Certifications:
Certified Scrub Tech - Supervision:
Performs no direct supervision but may precept orient new employees and nursing students, correcting work routines according to hospital policy and procedure as an active participant in staff development.
