West Georgia Dermatology is currently seeking a motivated and service-oriented Patient Services Specialist. In this vital front-office role, you'll ensure all patients feel welcome and well-cared for by facilitating check-in and check-out, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records. Proficiency with the Modernizing Medicine Electronic Health Records (EHR) system and prior experience in a healthcare setting are strongly preferred.

• Warmly welcome patients upon arrival, ensuring they are checked in and that their information is accurate and up-to-date in our system.
• Facilitate smooth patient check-outs, scheduling follow-up appointments, and addressing any further patient needs.
• Use the Modernizing Medicine EHR system to manage patient records and appointments.
• Handle incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
• Collaborate with the medical and billing team to ensure accurate communication and billing processes.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming front office area, ensuring all patient forms and materials are adequately stocked.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in a patient-facing role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in the Modernizing Medicine EHR system.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong ability to multitask.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
