Job Responsibilities
GENERAL JOB DUTIES
- Coordinates and encourages all WCM activities and continuous improvement workshops.
- Manages Six Sigma and Lean projects to support improvement initiatives and strategic goals.
Specific Job Duties
- Provides strategic direction, leadership, support, and decision-making to ensure successful application of continuous improvement concepts, including Lean Enterprise, Six Sigma, Layouts, and Material flow.
- Assists managers through reviewing continuous improvement plans and activities, providing feedback.
- Facilitates management updates and communication on all WCM activities.
- Supports manufacturing engineering resources.
- Manages Standardized Work Processes and Kaizen events.
- Leads and participates in customer lean and MAFACT assessments.
- Ensures compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and BOS policies and procedures.
- Supports cost reduction and innovation idea programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Promotes a safe and healthful workplace, integrating safety into all organizational elements, and striving to eliminate hazards.
- Ensures workplace conditions conform to standards and supports environmental sustainability efforts.
Skills / Experience Required
- Five years automotive experience; two years manufacturing experience; one year continuous work experience.
- Experience leading manufacturing processes, project management, and supervisory roles.
- Proven performance in implementing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma improvements.
- Excellent problem-solving, computer, and math/statistics skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and translate customer requirements into operational strategies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, high energy, and team motivation skills.
Education Requirements
- Required:
BS in Engineering or related discipline. - Preferred:
Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to meet physical demands as per job function evaluation.
- Work in office and manufacturing environments with PPE and safety precautions.
- Travel using public transportation.
