Carrollton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking for a Full Time LPN. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Responsibilities- Following the care plan, providing treatments, and working collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive patient care outcomes
- Assumes responsibility for assignments given, seeks supervision appropriately, and is accountable for his/her actions by performing within the limits of his/her education and experience
- Performs basic nursing procedures such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and monitoring patient conditions.
- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician and performs nursing procedures and techniques within scope of practice.
- Use equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently
- Utilizes medical terminology to accurately document patient information
- Lift and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics
- Provide acute care for patients with various medical conditions
- Administer tube feedings and monitor nutritional status
- Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures
- Valid LPN license
- Proficient in suture removal techniques
- Knowledge of dialysis procedures and equipment
- Competent in airway management techniques and CPR certification
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices
- Understanding of ophthalmology procedures and post-operative care requirements
- Ability to safely lift and transfer patients using proper body mechanics
- Experience in acute care settings, including monitoring patients' conditions and responding to emergencies
- Proficiency in administering tube feedings and monitoring nutritional status
- Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and post-procedure care
