The UGE Laborer/Groundman is responsible for preparing and cleaning construction sites, loading and unloading building materials, operating equipment, and assisting skilled trade workers. This position supports the Construction team and works closely with personnel within the department.

• Clean and prepare the construction site for work, removing debris and hazards.
• Assist tradesmen in completing their skilled tasks more effectively.
• Identify utilities and coordinate with dig crew to prevent utility hits.
• Maintain and clean equipment.
• Restock trucks with supplies to ensure crews have the proper tools and supplies.

• Minimum:
• High school diploma, or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Preferred:
• 1 year of experience.
• CDL Class A driver's license.

This job operates in a field environment and requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and standing. Work is performed in inclement weather, including extreme heat, cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind. The role demands precise hand‑eye coordination, good vision, and the ability to distinguish colors.
